Romance
Day one - Rivership Romance and historic walking tour
Enjoy a relaxing cruise together along the historic St. Johns River aboard the Rivership Romance. Wine, dine, dance and enjoy spectacular scenery. Whether under the sun or the stars, it's a great way to relax and reconnect with nature and each other. Both lunch and dinner cruises are available and depart from historic downtown Sanford, so before or after your cruise, you can also share other romantic diversions in this charming area.
One such diversion is Sanford's historic walking tour. Step back in time as you stroll hand-in-hand upon brick streets filled with amazing Victorian homes and dozens of other buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. (A guide is available at the Historic Sanford Welcome Center.) Wine and dine some more at sidewalk cafes and get lost in eclectic shops and galleries, where you can find a memento of your special time together, away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Day two - Swimming in natural springs and exploring nature
Relax in the sunshine at Wekiwa Springs State Park and cool off in beautiful crystal-clear natural springs. The park offers thousands of acres of pristine waterways and trails to explore, either on foot, canoe or kayak. Discover wildlife such as bald eagles, manatees, alligators, turtles, otters and deer as you rediscover precious time together. Picnic in your own private forest. You can also enjoy a guided tour with Wekiwa Springs Nature Adventures complete with commentary on the area's fascinating history and legends.
Day three - Spa and night out
Treat yourselves to relaxing massages at Cascata Spa and Salon in Lake Mary. You can also enjoy salon services so you'll be looking sensational and get all decked out for a night out on the town together. For a romantic dinner, try the award-winning Seasons 52 in Altamonte Springs, voted "Best Romantic Restaurant" by Seminole Magazine. After savoring outstanding cuisine and wines, enjoy a show at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, a beautifully restored vaudeville theater where you can see everything from plays to operas.
